Butternut squash, apple and caramelized onion pizza
You will need one individual boboli pizza crust
1 bag of frozen butternut squash prepared according to directions
you will need one granny smith apple peeled, cored and chopped
1/2 of a yellow onion chopped and caramelized (it takes about 20 minutes for that) while the oven is pre heating caramelize the onions)
when the stuff is all chipped up and ready to go, pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees F.
for the white sauce you will need:
2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
1 and 3/4 cup2 percent milk or whole milk
1/4 cup parmesan cheese shredded
1 Teaspoon fresh grated ginger root and 3/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
for the sauce, melt the butter on medium heat and add the flour, stir constantly with a whisk until it thickens, about 5 minutes. add the milk, ginger and rubbed sage and stir
You will need a baking tray lined with tinfoil.
Spread the sauce on the boboli and add enough broken up slices of Mozzarella to cover the pizza. Add the caramelized onion, squash and apples. You might have some of that mixture leftover. Bake for ten minutes.
