Instant pot ground chuck and red bean soup

This recipe is cooked only in the instant pot.

First, prepare the ground chuck by defrosting as needed. One pound. Cook it in the instant pot in saute mode on high for about five minutes until it is done.

Remove it from the instant pot when it is done by adding a bit of the beef broth as needed and scraping anything off the bottom reserve this to add to the soup when you add the beef broth.

Set aside the cooked ground beef and the liquid.

Four carrots diced

One yellow onion chopped

Next in saute mode on high saute the carrots and the onion.

When those are about done cooking add the bacon .

Four slices your choice of bacon (I chose turkey bacon) diced

When that is done cooking add the beans

Ten red potatoes peeled and diced

1 15 ounce can diced tomatoes with the juice

2 15 ounce cans red beans drained and rinsed

1/4 cup ketchup

2 Tablespoons Heinz 57 sauce

1 Tablespoon yellow mustard

2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

3 and 1/2 cups beef broth

Add the potatoes

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Set to pressure cook for seven minutes and do a quick release.
