Turkey loaf with Heinz 57 sauce glaze, gluten free

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

You will need a baking pan lined with parchment paper

Saute ½ of a medium size white onion chopped

1 small to medium size zucchini peeled and diced in a tablespoon of olive oil until done

1 medium carrot or 2 small carrots grated

2 pounds.ground turkey

½ cup quick oats

2 eggs

2 tablespoons olive oil

One tablespoon prepared yellow mustard (I like French’s)

Mix the turjey, eggs, oats, spices, oil and mustard in a large bowl well. Add the grated carrot and mix well and then add the sautéed onion and zucchini.

For the glaze: ½ cup ketchup and ½ cup Heinz 57 sauce mixed well

Form a loaf from the turkey mixture on the baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes and take out of the oven temporarily to add the glaze. Pour the glaze on top and brush it all over the loaf with a culinary brush. Put it back in the oven for another 30 minutes. The cooking time is different for chicken and turkey. Even the temp for doneness is: 170 degrees F) check for doneness with the meat thermometer.

Let the loaf sit and cool down when it’s out of the oven and done for about a half hour at least.
